Ducati North America has announced today the release of there 2007 Sport 1000 Mono Special Edition motorcycle, which is being produced exclusively for the North American market. Production of this model will be limited to only 100 bikes (90 bikes for the US, 10 bikes for Canada). With only 100 units being produced, this will be one of the rarest Ducati's . This Ducati 2007 Sport 1000 Mono Special Edition is priced $11,495 (approximately Rs 4,70,333) and is currently available in dealer showrooms throughout North America. 
Combining modern technology with classic design, this Sport 1000 Special Edition possess the spirit of the legendary 1978 Ducati 900SS "Darmah," and features the beautiful classic timeless Black and Gold paint scheme .
Each of the limited 100 Monoposto (single seat) 2007 Sport 1000 SE models will be identified by a numbered plaque, located on the triple clamp. The motorcycle also features a twin "shotgun" exhaust, spoke wheels and Brembo brakes. It is powered by the air-cooled 992cc dual-spark engine
